Nov 11, 2013 路 I have had my grande punto now for at least 3 years and I have changed most of the common faults. Its on a 2006 plate. I would just like to share that the front window drains are not fit enough and fully developed by Fiat. The drains are small, short and cause splashes and leaks onto the alternator and starter motor. May 31, 2019 路 The connection can improve and degrade through small disturbances / vibrations resulting in random starting problems. One way to test the cable is to bypass it with a pair of jump leads - one from the battery negative to the engine block and another from the engine block to the chassis - then try starting the car.
Jun 27, 2012 路 The old Grande are common for this fault but the new ones have been changed. It would take time but its not that difficult of a job. Take door panel off. The clear seal. And release clips from inside then release the electric clip and remove the mechanism from opening the screws outside. Replace same way as taken off.
